Fethiye - Kekova - Kas 7 days charter itinerary

When compiling Fethiye or Göcek yachting itineraries and choosing an eastern destination many plan to visit Oludeniz, which is only 8 miles from Fethiye. More adventurous travelers go further afield, covering Kalkan, Kaş, Kekova, and Finike. Let’s make a tentative plan for this 7-day exciting tour.

Arrival Day

This day is not included in the sailing trip. Firstly, you need to get to Ece Marina Fethiye. And the easiest way to do this is through Dalaman International Airport. You will need only 1.5 hours to get to the marina from the airport. It’s worth arranging a transfer in advance after arrival.

Day 1 (Fethiye — Oludeniz)

The route starts with a short 15-mile from Fethiye to Oludeniz. It is necessary to move all the time along the coast.

Note that Fethiye Bay is quite popular with sailing planning, so it can be crowded. It is important to be careful and cautious while steering the boat. Oludeniz marinas is great for an overnight stopover.

Day 2 (Oludeniz — Kalkan)

This route already covers 31 miles. The main navigation tip for this part of the yachting trip is to follow the headlands. Depths are adequate, with no dangerous sections. During the high season, westerly winds dominate here. When approaching Kalkan you will see two islands, Katal and Sikan.

Day 3 (Kalkan — Kekova)

This leg also covers 31 miles. Here, navigation will be complicated by the large number of small islands. Westerly winds are mostly present.

The entrance to the Blue Lagoon of Kekova is quite wide. This is not the case with the bay where the village of Kalekajiz is located, where the entrance is narrow. Pay attention to the navigation signs.

Day 4 (Kekova — Kas)

This part of the spectacular route on boat rental covers 21 miles. Already familiar and not a difficult trail. It is important to choose the right parking spot in Kas. Don’t forget to take into account the wind forecast.

Day 5 (Kas — Oludeniz)

A fairly substantial 41-mile section of the route. In the summertime you will most likely have to cross the sea against the wind. It is recommended to start early in the morning to allow plenty of time.

Day 6 (Oludeniz — Skopea Limani)

This part of the route covers 16 nautical miles. The navigation conditions are comfortable. Entering Skopea Limani between Domuz Island and Yarim Adasi Peninsula, the strait should be passed closer to the central part. The width and depth of the strait (15−20 meters) is more than enough. There are plenty of parking places in Skopea Limani, although in high season there is a big increase of charter yachts.

Day 7 (Skopea Limani — Fethiye)

It takes just 14 nautical miles to get from one point to the other. The route passes through Fethiye Bay. The traffic in this place is quite heavy, so you should be very careful.

This is where the exciting route ends with picturesque islands and towns. If you are interested in yacht charter for conquering the sea, we recommend you to look through the offers on boatscribe.com. Here, everyone will find the best solution for a bright vacation on the waves.
